Heh, maybe you can convince OS to bring back the MAX 12XZ or an equivalent. The 12TG is a bit of a pig, but as you said the T1204 is massively overpowered, an in between would be nice. Did you add some shims to the engine? They usually come set up for 16% fuel, but maybe a gas truck doesn't beat on it enough to start knocking.

Is it just me or did it seem like it was moving slow?

AE, Losi and Mugen need to get their act together and bring these trucks back.

That smaller spur helps, takes away low end grunt of a powerful engine, pus it eliminates modding the rear arm, spur adapter and the trans spacer. I run 20%, do you think running 20% will help tame your engine?

Totally awesome video... That motor definitely does sing a higher tune than most... can't imagine hanging into that kind of power.... Please if possible , post your setup or what you can post easily, such as shock oils, shock mount locations, how much washers ypu have where and what camber link locations, etc... You had that thing ripping and looking pretty dialed mister... Cheers!

Man, the XXX-NT was amazing back in the day. Those Boom pitboards are sick! I would love to watch a video on your thoughts about class evolution, from stadium, to short course, to why the mini-truggy class is failing to pick up steam, etc. and what classes you see gaining traction in the future.

Traxxas is the only one making a stock truck at the moment. Y'all need to see about how to make them fit in the class, even with the bigger motor. Gas truck is sick!

Adam this was by far so fun. We are still having so much fun with this layout weekly! We can race eachother more so than racing the "track" and that is so much fun! I'm excited for this next year as I bought a really pretty AEGT! Thank you, Adam Drake and Brian of HRCR for making this happen!

I also have the ignite kit, that i put together a year and s half ago to run in florida at newberry. I would love your setup sheet. I couldnt get my to handle at all.

Thank you Adam and HRCR for putting this race on! Knocking it out of the park was an understatement, I can't wait until next year to see what's in store. The battles were great, even down to the last lap with SCT bmain.....so close to bumping!

I actually agree. I had a small cheap 2wd nitro truck made by a cheap brand like xtm or something similar . I only used it up the local park jumping over small dirt mounds and burning around and I actually remember it being Great fun.

Looked like so much fun! It would be cool to see a new gas truck brought out

Big question is. Can i bring a traxxas nitro rustler? Its far too expensive to get into for the normal guy, buy new t4 kit, buy conversion kit, buy electronics and motor. Thats alot. If i could bring a rtr rustler and slap on some appropriate tires there shouldnt be an issue right?

Last run of day should always shut off by pinching fuel feed line to ensure most of the fuel left in motor is burned. Nitro fuel is methanol based and hydroscopic. Any unburned fuel left in motor will absorb water and will eventually begin to corrode components.

Can you fit a Justock XR10 ESC with fan under the body? It is about 34x29x32mm_tall?

what's about turning the glowplug loose slightly and tightening it down again?

Great video. Also a few more things final drive is a key point that in motorbikes and rc cars I see often geared wrong for how it’s being used for the current owner. clutch bell and spur sizes to wheel size and weight all have massive impacts on performance but having them set up for the correct usage it’s under can save so much engine wear and fuel consumption. The next mainly pointed towards smaller scales but covers all would be different terrain, run for an hour on a beach and again on solid concrete and typically you’ll use getting on twice the amount on a beach.

I use both methods but always make sure it's at BDC to cool. Good tip for those that don't know.
